Graduated from the University of Milan in 1981, he served in the Gorgonzola Hospital first as a medical assistant and then as a co-responsible assistant. He was Director of the ENT department at the Poliambulanza Clinic of Brescia (1997-1999) and at the San Giuseppe Hospital in Milan (1999-2012).
Since January 2012, he has been Director of the UOC (Complex Operative Unit) of otolaryngology of the AO Ospedale Niguarda Ca' Granda.
He obtained a specialisation in otolaryngology and head and neck pathology in 1985 at the University of Milan.
His surgical experience exceeds 10,000 surgeries performed with traditional, microendoscopic and laser assisted techniques covering all ENT concerns, both functional and oncological.
Since 1991, he has been particularly involved with minimally invasive endoscopic surgery of the paranasal sinuses and the skull base for the treatment of inflammatory and cancerous forms, both benign and malignant.
From 2005 to 2011 he was adjunct professor of the single-cycle degree course in medicine and surgery at the University of Milan.
He is currently an adjunct professor at the school of otolaryngology at the University of Milan.
He has held significant responsibilities as coordinator, director and scientific speaker of over 200 conferences in addition to the direction and organisation of practical courses in live video-surgery and anatomical dissection of the paranasal sinuses and skull base, both nationally and internationally.
Former president of the Lombardo Otolaryngology Group (GLO), of which he is a founding member, he has authored publications in international journals and editorials in national periodicals.
